Web Designer and Developer (Full Time)
Location: Calgary, AB
Are you a designer with a passion for web design and development? FP iMarketing is looking for a well-rounded web designer/developer who is a result-oriented self-manager capable of effectively handling independent projects as well as working cohesively with a team.
The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate both strong visual web design skills and the ability to effectively plan & execute objectives as shown through previous work experience.
Experience in communicating design requirements and deliverables with managers or end clients is an asset.
Salary based on experience, advancement to a leadership role is available to qualified candidates. Applicants should provide portfolios of work in design and web development.
Education and Experience
- 3+ Years of experience in a professional environment required
- 1-2 Years professional experience with online marketing agency and web design preferred
- Skilled with graphic and web design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) required
- Experience with frontend website or web application development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, cross-browser compatibility) required.
- Education/certification/training in web and graphic design preferred
- Experience with web architecture, layout, functionality and navigation an asset
- Knowledge of web standards, SEO practices, Adwords and web analytics an asset
- Experience with content management systems (Word Press, Joomla , Pagelime) and website analytics (Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools) preferred
Responsibilities include:
- Compiling visual design for websites, web graphics, and other online media
- Translating visual designs into websites
- Developing, maintaining and updating websites and web applications
- Setting up and configuring website or web application infrastructure
- Execution of various quality control procedures
- Search engine optimization, marketing and AdWords advertising
- Implementation of various web marketing tools and analytics
- E-mail and social media marketing
